These medical centers are the providers of laboratory services in multiple areas throughout the middle of Michigan.
Medical Directorship is provided by Midland Pathology Associates, P.C. (MyMichigan Medical Centers-Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Midland & Mt. Pleasant) and Christopher Bullock, M.D. (MyMichigan Medical Center-Alpena). Physicians have rapid access to the pathologists 24 hours a day for consultations that can reduce test duplication and unnecessary testing. Pathologists provide information to physicians on the appropriateness of testing, the presence or absence of clinical utility for laboratory tests, relative value of a given group of tests in a particular clinical setting, and information on the clinical significance of complex test results. They work closely with technical personnel to assure the quality of all laboratory testing. The American Board of Pathology, the National Board of Medical Examiners, and the Michigan Medical Practice Board certify the pathologists.
