Specimen Collection: First morning urine is preferred since it contains the highest concentration of hCG, however urine specimens may be collected at random.

Stability:

• Serum or Urine may be stored 2-8°C for up to 48 hours prior to testing. For prolonged storage, specimens may be frozen at -20°C.
