Negative. A positive result indicates levels >5 ng/mL of buprenorphine.
Buprenorphine is a potent analgesic often used in the treatment of opioid addiction. Therapeutically, Buprenorphine is used as a substitution treatment for opioid addicts. Buprenorphine is as effective as Methadone but demonstrates a lower physical dependence. The detection window for the parent drug in urine is approximately 3 days.
This immunoassay screen has reactivity to buprenorphine, norbuprenorphine and buprenorphine glucuronide. The MSOPI assay can detect specific analytes.
