Fluorescence Enzyme Immunoassay (FEIA)
Evaluation of patients suspected of having hypersensitivity pneumonitis induced by exposure to Aspergillus fumigatus, Thermoactinomyces vulgaris, or Micropolyspora faeni.
Antibodies may be found in a portion of the normal patient population. The presence of precipitins is not necessarily indicative of disease. Result should be correlated with clinical findings.
Panel includes Aspergillus fumigatus IgG, Micropolyspora faeni IgG, and Thermoactinomyces vulgaris IgG. Test sent to Viracor Eurofins.
